Sculpture and
Furniture Design

The pandemic and today’s sociopolitical climate have made me think about making things that are compact, easy to transport, and mobile. Because nobody knows what’s going to happen. Things feel so insecure now for so many people that being able to pull up stakes quickly and move seems to be something to consider.

Joseph’s Bed
(Flat Packed King).

This flat packed platform bed was designed for my son Joseph to be installed in his home in Lewiston, Maine. The objective was to make a bed that could transport easily because it packs flat, is easy to assemble, uses no tools or hardware, and provides a stable and sturdy platform to support a comfortable night’s sleep.
